Truly Deeply’s Branding for BOUNCE Launches a Revolution

The new concept is taking off like wildfire in Australia

Brand agency Truly Deeply’s latest branding for the indoor trampoline park BOUNCE was revealed with the launch of the spring-loaded urban playground in Malvern this weekend. The massive indoor facility features 100 interconnected trampolines and over 500 square metres of foam pits and padding, as well as two trampoline ‘dodge ball’ courts and a high performance trampoline area.

Working with BOUNCE founders to create the name, brand strategy, identity, environmental branding, uniforms, website and marketing materials for the concept, the team at Truly Deeply were thrilled to see it spring into life at the family and friends launch on Friday 18th August.

"The BOUNCE concept is new to the Australian market,” explains David Ansett, Founder and Chief Creator of Brands at Truly Deeply. “It was critical for the brand name, proposition and visual identity to clearly communicate the defining product attributes - what BOUNCE is all about - as well as the raw energy and attitude of the brand. The opening night was a testament to the success of the concept with the market as well as the success of our brand strategy and identity design work in effectively communicating the essence of the brand."

BOUNCE was started by Antony Morell and Simon McNamara, the entrepreneurs behind the highly successful Spudbar franchise along with business partners Simon Tierney and Adam Richards who recognised a demand for high adrenaline action outside of the domain of extreme athletes.

“We needed a brand that brought to life our vision for BOUNCE and packaged it in a way that would excite our market. The team at Truly Deeply has achieved this and more,” said Morell. “The design challenge was to turn a massive concrete warehouse into a space filled with colour and energy.and the right degree of urban attitude. This was tough brief, to soften a hard space and balance appealing to serious adrenaline sport athletes as well as young kids and their mums. What I’ve valued most about working with Truly Deeply has been the total collaboration. The process combines everyone’s best thinking and the outcome cuts straight through the noise and really excites people about BOUNCE.”

As well as being a buzz for kids of all ages, trampolining is great for honing balance and strength but there is only so much ‘up and down’ people want. Breaking new ground, BOUNCE embraces free jumping where you can go beyond boundaries and experience the freedom of taking off, getting airborne and taking flight in an urban environment where almost every surface is part of the bounce experience.
‘An airborne adrenaline rush with a soft landing’, BOUNCE is a fantasy-land for free jumping and all that’s made possible when hard surfaces are replaced with circus-grade sponge and spring. BOUNCE is as easy or challenging as you like – a training ground for air-sports acrobatics or just a platform to burn energy the fun way. As the brand’s tag line says; ‘Welcome to the Free Jumping Revolution.’

"The design of the environmental branding of BOUNCE was crucial to the success of its brand experience,” added Ansett. “The work we did creating a unique and visually powerful branded space for BOUNCE has been the single most critical factor in transforming a huge, old warehouse into an engaging wonderland on which to scale a branded business."

“We’ve only been open a few days but the signs are very positive. People of all ages seem to be having an awesome time. We’re getting a lot of love on Facebook and it’s great to see this community of characters building, united in their desire to jump around. The place is turning into a fusion of young kids jumping out of their skin, extreme sports athletes honing their tricks and flips and everything in between ” said Morell.
