“Be there even when you can’t” is the concept behind Three Ireland’s new commercial, launched this week to celebrate its 97% 4G population coverage

Building on Three’s ‘Make it count’ campaign, Dublin-based Boys+Girls embraced the surreal with an exhilarating spot featuring a mum who’s stuck in work, bouncing with her little girl on the Three Ireland Network.

Aislinn O’Connor, Head of Brand & Marketing Communications at Three Ireland said: “At Three we believe that connection is fundamental to how we live today which is why we are now delighted to announce that Three boasts an amazing 97% 4G population coverage across Ireland. Our new brand film is a celebration of this network strength and our unique All You Can Eat Data offering.”

‘Bounce’ leapt onto TV and VOD screens on Monday 24th September. The 60-second spot (supported by 40 and 20-second cutdowns) was directed by The Sweetshops’ Mark Albiston who has re-united with Boys+Girls for this latest instalment of Three’s ‘Make it count’ platform. Shot on location in Kiev, the stunts were created predominantly in-camera with some clever visual effects augmenting the mother and daughter’s acrobatic feats.

Speaking about the commercial, Kris Clarkin, creative director of Boys+Girls said: “We wanted to create a brand film that was visually striking but also has an emotional heart. All You Can Eat Data means Three Ireland’s customers never have to miss a moment again. This film reflects a very real scenario in a very surreal way. It’s a fun spot that helps a working parent to be in two places at the same time.”

"Mark Albiston, Director at The Sweetshop said: “Boys + Girls are a great team to collaborate with, and they got me involved pretty early on, so it was good to ‘bounce’ ideas around with them, ‘scuse the pun. They were really fun ideas to play with and we had a great time with the cast and crew bringing them to life.
