Y&R New York is further bolstering its creative team with
the new hire of Thomas Shim as Creative Director on the Dell account. Thomas
will work directly with Christian Carl, Global Executive Creative Director
on Dell, and both report to Chief Creative Officer Leslie Sims.
Thomas joins Y&R from Spike DDB, where he was Associate Creative Director on Cadillac and Chevrolet. Prior to this, Thomas was an integrated creative at Havas Worldwide in New York, contributing his talents to Dos Equis, Heineken, Ritz, Durex and more. He has also freelanced at a variety of agencies including BBDO, R/GA, MRM McCann, Saatchi and Saatchi, as well as Comedy Central and Heineken USA. Thomas’s work had been recognized by the Clios, Art Directors Club, Cannes Lions, New York Festival and more. Thomas is also an independent filmmaker, app developer, and a Professor of Advanced Advertising and Digital Design at the School of Visual Arts.
