Think You Know London? Try Hailo's Devilishly Difficult Cabbie Quiz

Think you know London, Guvnor? Have a butchers at this brand new quiz from cabbie champions, Hailo, who is offering members of the public a chance to take on London’s taxi drivers with the launch of its ‘Do you Have the Knowledge’ online quiz.

Devised of fifteen questions, the quiz sees participants race the meter to answer questions about the history of the black cab and test their knowledge of the Capital’s routes. Devilishly difficult, subjects include cabbie lingo, famous street names of London and a certain Robert De Niro film.

Using Facebook to log in, players will battle it out to win prizes including a luxury Fortnum & Masons hamper, Selfridges gift vouchers and a guide to London by answering questions against the clock. Entrants can keep tabs on their progress on the live Hailo scoreboard and share their ranking via Facebook or Twitter.

Think the Hailo quiz is tough? Passing the ‘Knowledge of London’ involves dedicated cabbies having to recall 25,000 streets within a six-mile radius of Charing Cross station, including a host of hotels, restaurants, hospitals, clubs, theatres and places of worship. It can take up to three years to pass the Knowledge showing just how committed London cabbies are to their trade.
