The New Slimy World of Tax Refunds

Reinvention was the name of the game when Barnes Catmus and Friends approached Cirkus to help out on the new TaxRefunds.co.nz television, print and viral campaign. With a good creative approach and open brief Cirkus was able to bring the TaxRefunds.co.nz’s mascot ‘Eric’ into 2013 with a bang. A stroke of genius by Cirkus’ very own Human Cannonball Romain Borrel to set the two 15 second spots in a live background meant that Cirkus was able to get their feet wet on shoot. This fresh, modern approach brings these spots alive helped out by the impressive 3D modelling, texturing and integration of the feature characters.



 

Animation Director, Romain Borrel, headed the team with help from the following performers, animatic design Alexandre Toufilli, Character Animation amazingness Hugo Garcia and Priyan Jayamaha, Modeling extraordinaire Mauro Santini, Rigger Jack Tuck, Compositing/DOP Sandesh Codhadu and produced by Cirkus' own Hoopdiver Kate Goodwin.
