The Corner Store has announced the appointment of Erik Wilson as the production house’s new executive producer.
“We are so pleased to add Erik to our team after so many years working on amazing projects together!” said Susi Patterson, executive producer and co-founder of The Corner Store.
Erik Wilson started his relationship with The Corner Store seven years ago by producing countless commercials with the production house, including Kia Sorento’s 'Natural Habitats', TD’s 'Travel Cards', Petro Canada’s 'FACE Olympics' and Mitsubishi Outlander’s 'Out of This World'.
“Erik is sure to add a new dynamic to our team, and we appreciate his honesty, fantastic problem solving ability and calm approach to filmmaking," said Jennie Montford, executive producer and co-founder of The Corner Store.
Jorn Haagen, an award-winning director on The Corner Store’s Roster, had this to say about Erik: “Any producer can handle a budget. Making numbers work – that is not the art. Knowing how to support the creativity with those numbers, that is the difficult thing. And Erik is one of less than a handful of producers I’ve met in my career who is able to do that.”
Wilson has over 23 years of experience producing both at production companies and as a freelance producer. Erik has been called a “conscientious, enthusiastic gentleman” by former colleagues, and he is excited about this new chapter.
