The track written by Jamie Oliver & Ed Sheeran was produced & recorded at the music agency

Food Revolution Day is the annual campaign where Jamie Oliver makes the world aware that we need urgent global action from governments to provide compulsory, quality, hands-on food education for all children across the world in order to help fight the obesity epidemic and the rise of diet-related disease.  As a result, they need as many people as possible to sign Jamie’s petition at change.org/jamieoliver.

This years Food Revolution Day has an anthem, a track called “Revolution’ co-written by Ed Sheeran and Jamie Oliver. It has been a closely-guarded secret ever since, as more and more stars joined.

Artists who have been involved are, Paul McCartney, Hugh Jackman Jamie Cullum , Professor Green, Jazzie B, George The Poet, Us The Duo, Mr Hudson, DJ MK, Che’Nelle and Alesha Dixon. The song also features a choir of children from the London Youth Choir.

Music agency Soho Music who’s core business is music supervision and bespoke music for TVC’s and brands, produced and recorded the track in their own studios – The Gin Factory Studios in Clerkenwell, helping bring in high profile artists to execute the project.

Kate Young from Soho Music says:  “it was a fantastic project to be involved in especially when you realise how driven and passionate Jamie is on making a difference. It’s a hugely important cause and a privilege to have worked with so many incredible people throughout the process and to see the impact this has had on a global scale.”

Jamie says: “I’m so grateful to absolutely everyone who worked on the song and gave their time and incredible talent for free. The message of the song is an obvious one – we desperately need a revolution when it comes to giving our kids the knowledge they need to make better choices about food. This song is one extremely powerful vehicle to help us spread the message about the importance of food education around the world.”
