Long-term Smith's ambassador Stephen Curry features in the brand film.
The wait is over - BBQ season is upon us and Smith's and Clemenger BBDO, Sydney, have brought out a new brand campaign to celebrate this great Aussie tradition. The campaign celebrates Smith's position at the heart of every great Aussie BBQ and brings to life the lengths people will go to get their hands on the nation's favourite chips.
Spearheading the campaign is a new brand film featuring long-term Smith's ambassador Stephen Curry. Set at a typical Aussie backyard BBQ, the concept revolves around the backyard BBQ's most unwanted guest - bindis - and their failure to thwart the pursuit of Smith's Chips.
Says Sheri Juchau, senior marketing manager, Smith's: "There's nothing more Aussie than a backyard BBQ and Smiths has long played a role in this loved occasion. We wanted to reflect this in a humorous way, whilst showcasing just how delicious our chips are. We're thrilled with our new campaign, and hope Aussies love it as much as they do Smith's chips."
Says Paul Nagy, ECD, Clemenger BBDO, Sydney: "Smith's is one of Australia's great iconic brands. And this campaign really celebrates the brand in a way all Aussies can relate to."
The campaign aims to solidify Smith's role as "The great Aussie entrée" at every Summer BBQ, and is rolling out across TV, digital, social platforms, in-store and outdoor.
