R/GA Promotes Richard Ting to Global Chief Design Officer

R/GA, the company connected by design, is pleased to announce the promotion of Richard Ting to EVP, Global Chief Design Officer. With this appointment, R/GA is unifying all design disciplines under one umbrella with the goal of fostering even greater integration. Richard will also be responsible for growing and evolving R/GA’s data and AI-driven design capabilities while continuing in his role as a partner for R/GA Ventures.

“For this new role, we needed someone that would not only re-shape, develop, and train our design teams, but also create a new vision for design at R/GA,” said Greenberg. “Richard has worked on some of our most iconic work and has built some of our most innovative teams and capabilities – I could not think of a better person to lead us forward in this area.”

Richard has held a number of key roles during his 11 years at R/GA including Global CXO, R/GA Ventures Partner, Global Head of Mobile + Social Platforms, and Executive Creative Director on the Nike account.In the upcoming year, Richard will partner with all of our global offices and creative leaders to re-shape R/GA’s design talent to ensure that they remain world-class and are ready for a world that is increasingly driven by technology.

“I believe that the designer of the future will increasingly have to integrate multiple aspects of design – design research, experience strategy, experience design, service design, visual design, prototyping, and behavioral science,” said Ting. “The work our clients need today demands this cross-discipline literacy, and I am excited to continue building this at R/GA.”

Richard will continue to report to Bob Greenberg, founder, chairman, and CEO of R/GA.
