Jessica O’Conor joins as VP, Group Account Director

Philly-based indie creative shop Red Tettemer + Partners (RT+P) announced today the appointment of Jessica O’Conor as VP, Group Account Director. Reporting to agency partners Carla Mote and Jared Scott, the former Wieden+Kennedy vet will be responsible for strategically leading and growing clients, as well as overseeing and driving breakthrough creative.

RT+P likes to do something fun for each new hire it brings on board. For O’Conor, the agency commissioned resident Maker, Steve Thompson, to create a LEGO portrait and stop-motion video of the process. A tiny documentary can be viewed below:

Steve Red, President and Chief Creative Officer at RT+P said, “Jess is an amazing talent and we’re thrilled to have her with us. And we think everyone will agree she looks really good in Legos.”

Prior to joining RT+P, O’Conor spent almost seven years at Wieden+Kennedy as Management Supervisor, most recently working on the Target business, where she led all operations with Target Headquarters and other W+K offices. While at W+K, O’Conor also worked on clients including ESPN, Disney/Pixar, Ronald McDonald House as well as new business initiatives. Last summer, O’Conor took time off to volunteer and teach nursery school in Tanzania through Cross Cultural Solutions at Karanga Catholic nursery school. O’Conor also previously worked at Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners, in New York and Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami. The latter is where she first met and worked with RT+P ECD and Partner, Steve O‘Connell.

O’Conor has worked on multiple award-winning campaigns including The World Cup on ESPN; ESPN’s Without Sports Campaign; Monday Night Football’s Is It Monday Yet?; This is SportsCenter spots, and most recently Target’s Spring Style campaign Color Changes Everything (2012) which was nominated for an Emmy.

Commenting on her new role, Jessica said, “I’m beyond excited to join RT+P – the passion, people, pets and culture are what brought me here. The upbeat approach everyone seems to embrace is truly infectious.”
