Agency creates ‘shells’ depicting likenesses of new hires

Philly-based indie creative agency, Red Tettemer O'Connell + Partners (RTO+P), today announced the appointment of 14 new hires across all agency disciplines in response to new business and organic growth, including two new creative hires for the agency’s burgeoning LA office.

To introduce the new team members, the agency made a short video that shows how Steve Thompson, RTO+ P’s resident Maker, carved their likenesses on hollowed out egg shells.

“Of course this is all very eggciting,” said Steve Red, President & Chief Creative Officer of RTO+P.

RTO+P appointments include (in alphabetical order):

- Jordan Breindel, Copywriter, joins the agency after spending time as a freelance writer. At RTO+P, Breindel will work on Planet Fitness, Mentos, Under Armour and FOX, among others. Breindel credits RTO+P Art Director Jeremy Gilberto as the deciding factor in joining the shop.

- Karin Djelaj (pronounced “July”) was Associate Creative Director/Copywriter, at Ignited in Los Angeles and continues in that role at RTO+P. Born in Canada, she considers herself a California girl at heart and is excited to work on Under Armour Women’s business. “Five minutes before I was supposed to meet Steve Red for the first time, he changed our meeting location from the West Coast office to a rooftop bar in Venice.” That pretty much “sealed the deal” in her wanting to join the agency.

- Ricardo Durán, Copywriter, wants to create ideas that people will want to share and talk about as a way to “break the misperception that most people have about advertising.” Previously a junior writer at LatinWorks, he’ll be working on Planet Fitness, Dockers and Century 21 at RTO+P, which he admires for its Dockers campaign against “Dad Pants” and its support for beer Fridays.

- Bergan Foley, Account Manager, will handle day-to-day client management on the T. Rowe Price, Mentos and SEPTA accounts. She joined from Havas Worldwide’s Chicago office and considers the environment at RTO+P “a contagious, creative” one that “allows each individual to achieve greatness in their own unique way.”

- Anthony Gallo, Systems Administrator, joined the agency because he thinks it’s “a really cool place with great people.” He joined the agency from AIM Academy, where he was also a Systems Administrator.

- Bryne Hetznecker, Community Specialist, will be managing social accounts at RTO+P such as Planet Fitness, Dockers and Under Armour Hockey. Hetznecker was previously a Micro-Content Producer at Vayner Media, and jumped at the chance to join the shop because, “I saw a kegerator.”

- Derek Little, Interactive Creative Director, joined from Truth North Inc. where he was Director of Creative Technology. He enjoys experimenting with new technologies to ensure that RTO+P delivers engaging user experiences that exceed client expectations. His account load includes Dockers, Under Armour, Reyka Vodka, Planet Fitness and Ripken Baseball. Little described the agency as “always pushing for new and unique ideas and the potential to extend digital experiences beyond desktop and mobile into a broader campaign. The cool office space doesn’t hurt either.”

- Kraig Lunkenheimer, Account Coordinator, is involved with project management, social community management and analytics at the agency in support of Dockers, Dial for Men and Planet Fitness. He was previously an intern at RTO+P, describing the shop as one “that approaches advertising with the right perspective whether looking at it from the top-down or bottom-up; genuine people, amazing offices, cooperative environment, bomb creative.”

- As an Associate Creative Director/Copywriter, Tom McDonough enjoys making information engaging, ownable and consistent with each brand’s unique personality. His accounts include Reyka Vodka, Einstein Hospitals, Morningstar Farms, Century 21 and Visit Philly. At his previous agency, Tierney, he was also ACD/Copywriter. He joined RTO+P because he was tired of saying, “I wish I did that” when looking at RTO+P’s work. “So I decided to start doing it.”

- Michelle Mitchell, Account Manager, joined RTO+P from 20nine. “Studying marketing in a Philadelphia university, RTO+P has always been the top creative agency to work for. With the expansion of the client portfolio and West Coast office, jobs at the agency are much sought-after.” Mitchell works on Reyka Vodka and Visit Philadelphia overseeing execution of brand assets and multi-channel campaigns.

- Jasmine Patel, Interactive Designer, was an Associate Art Director at 1 Trick Pony before joining RTO+P. She works closely with creative teams and developers to concept and design websites and apps as part of overall brand campaigns for clients including Reyka Vodka, Dockers, Under Armour, Morningstar Farms and FOX. “I think I’ve wanted to work here since I first started my advertising classes at Temple because of how amazing the work is.”

- Jenny Shaab, Community Strategist, had been a Senior Account Executive at Edelman Digital in New York before joining RTO+P to work on Under Armour Women, Dockers and Swarovski. RTO+P is “unmatched by any other agency. I couldn’t be more excited to join such a creatively driven team,” she said.

- Josh Sirulnik, Digital Strategist, assists in developing strategies for RTO+P’s interactive projects, including those for Dockers, Morningstar Farms, Under Armour, DFM, Reyka Vodka and Swarovski. He had been a project manager at WebLinc, and joined the agency because “I have always been amazed with the ideas and work that are produced here. Being part of such a great team of thinkers and innovators is what led me to work here.”

- Kimberly Trubey, Account Manager, works on the Under Armour Women’s account and joined from Mondo. “I knew about RTO+P because of the outstanding work that they create. Immediately upon walking in the door, seeing the office, meeting the minds behind the madness and experiencing the creative culture firsthand, I knew this was absolutely where I needed to be.”
