RB, the consumer health, hygiene and home company, has made two appointments today. The first, McCann Worldgroup, is to handle it’s germ protection brands Dettol and Lysol worldwide
Over the last two years McCann has developed a powerful new advertising campaign for Dettol in India and its creative effectiveness has contributed to strong penetration and share growth for the brand
This appointment replaces the current arrangements whereby McCann handles Dettol in India with Havas handling Dettol and Lysol across other markets.
Roberto Funari, Executive Vice President Global Category Development, says: “We are delighted that McCann Worldgroup will be partnering with us. Dettol and Lysol are iconic brands and the quality of the strategic thinking and creativity we have seen from McCann has been outstanding. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Havas WW for their contribution to this brand over the last few years”.
The second, RB announced that Havas WW will work as lead strategic and creative partner for new strategic initiatives for RB. Roberto Funari added: "Havas has an incredible capacity to help form and shape new growth opportunities for us. Over the years, they've partnered with us to build tremendous success across our brands. This appointment solidifies their role in a more formal capacity working closely with Global Category Development."
In addition to this new role, Havas will continue to be a key global agency partner for RB and manage many of our global power brands, as well as local brands.
