Harrison-Church, who recently made Edinburgh her home, has held top marketing roles at Unilever, KFC, Boots, Sainsbury’s, Premier Foods and most recently Asda

Radiocentre has lined up former Asda marketing chief Claire Harrison-Church and a host of radio industry experts to speak at its Tuning In Scotland: See Radio Differently event on Wednesday 8th March.

Harrison-Church, who recently made Edinburgh her home, has held top marketing roles at Unilever, KFC, Boots, Sainsbury’s, Premier Foods and most recently Asda. She has developed award-winning advertising campaigns, including Boots ‘Here come the girls’, Sainsbury’s 'Live Well for Less' and KFC ‘Soul food’. In conversation with Radiocentre’s Client Director Lucy Barrett, she will discuss her unique insight into the trends and needs that shape UK consumers’ relationships with some of the nation’s biggest brands; current challenges advertisers face; and the role radio has played across some of the recent campaigns she’s overseen.

The conference will be opened by Radiocentre’s CEO Siobhan Kenny, who will give an overview on the state of UK commercial radio and its relentless work to reduce financial Ts&Cs in radio ads.

Global’s DAX team will also give a demonstration on 3D Audio. DAX is the programmatic buying one-stop-shop for audio and the team will showcase the power of sound when targeting listeners wearing headphones. Through individual interaction, the team will demonstrate to the audience just what an ‘experience’ radio advertising can be.

Harrison-Church says: “Commercial radio is a great enabler for brands, bringing them to life by connecting with people’s passions at a time when they’re really listening. I’m looking forward to discussing the role radio has played in many of my campaigns and how the media landscape is evolving for advertisers.”

Kenny adds: “Edinburgh is a famously creative media hub. Edinburgh audiences have access to 45 national and local commercial radio stations, so we are keen to share our latest ideas on radio and audio with a broader audience and pleased that Claire will be able to share her wealth of experience and insight with all of us.”
