Pitch & Sync’s Tracks of the Week.
Music and sound agency Pitch & Sync reveal the latest and hottest new artists, songs and albums that they’ve been listening to in their weekly instalment of Tracks of the Week.
“The Festival Season is well under way as we creep slowly towards June. We kicked All Points East off our list of May festivals last weekend and are now looking ahead to Field Day. Back in the studio after a music filled bank holiday, we are buzzing!”
Detroit Swindle - Yes, No Maybe
This was a collaboration that came as a huge shock, but definitely a welcome one. The Dutch duo, as expected, did a hell of a job enticing us all by showcasing Misch's classic guitar play and vocals. We are hooked!
Her soulful voice soars over a delicate beat, singing, “Lose yourself from playing games,” as soft keys quietly layer. A delicate track taken straight from her upcoming LP ‘Lost & Found’.
'Magazin', certainly ticks the up-tempo rock & roll boxes, but it also checks off a number of other styles and ideas while it's at it. With injections of brass, layers of synth, drum machine effects and psychedelic samples, we just can’t get enough.
Clairo featuring Reggie Snow - Hello?
This 19 year old first made a name for herself by releasing music through YouTube. 12 million views later she’s on tour with Dua Lipa and has released her debut EP. Any notions of Clairo as just a lo-fi bedroom pop savant have been dismantled. This track puts her up there with the best of the rest.
It tumbles and whooshes, but the electronica eventually melts into the background, consumed by Rogers’ gentle, folksy, beautiful vocals and a delicate piano accompaniment.
