ENGINE launches latest Current Account Switch Service with smooth spot directed by Simon Willows

Today sees the return of the much-loved Switch Guarantee Guy in the latest work for the Current Account Switch Service.

The super-smooth spokesman appears alongside some of the world’s best sign-spinners whose eye-catching tricks highlight the rewards of switching.

To create this quirky spot, ENGINE teamed up with award-winning director Simon Willows. The action takes place in a traditional British marketplace with sign-spinners performing a celebratory trick after receiving a relevant reward from the Switch Guarantee Guy.

Building on the success of the previous campaigns, this new campaign focuses on two key audiences who could see a real benefit from switching: 18-24 year olds and the financially disengaged.

Nikki Bunn, head of brands and marketing at Pay.UK responsible for the Current Account Switch Service, said: “Switching is for everyone, but for people who feel disengaged from finance it just doesn’t feel relevant. Our new campaign addresses this directly, showing the positive impact switching bank accounts can offer."

Richard Worrow, creative director at ENGINE, adds: “Working closely with the Pay.UK team, we are continually evolving the Switch campaign to find new and exciting ways to engage people with their finances."

The campaign will be launched across a range of social channels, using two 20-second ads and four  6-second ads, as well as Spotify audio and a Snapchat Lens.
