Ogilvy & Mather Named Agency of the Year at the Euro Effies
Last night, at the 20th anniversary Euro Effies gala, Ogilvy & Mather was named Agency of the Year. Since 1996 the Euro Effies have been viewed as the gold standard in marketing communications effectiveness. O&M won 8 awards including a Gold Effie for client Kofola by Zaraguza Ogilvy, based in the Slovak Republic.
The O&M winners came from Ireland, UK, and the Slovak Republic and includes the agency’s work on WPP Team Huawei. This is the first time that a Chinese brand has won a Euro Effie.
Ogilvy & Mather is already the world’s ‘Most Effective Agency Network’ after being ranked #1 in the Effie Index Global Rankings, April 2016.
Paul O’Donnell, EMEA Chairman and CEO, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide said: “Our ambition as an agency is simple: to ascend the 'twin peaks' of creativity and effectiveness. Of course, they are actually two faces of the same mountain. Ultimately, as David Ogilvy said, 'We sell or else'. In the spirit of this, to be Euro Effie ‘Agency of the Year’, after our outstanding performance at Cannes this year, is very very gratifying. We thank the jury and everyone at EACA for this endorsement on this the 20th Anniversary of the Euro Effies.”
Brian McCarter, EMEA Head of Planning, Ogilvy & Mather said: “Brilliant brand building across borders is as tough as it gets – so to have 4 different Ogilvy offices win awards and be named Agency of the Year is fantastic.”
