Norton is great at protecting you against spam, Trojans, worms, viruses, and other nasty stuff online. In a new Nordic campaign, signed Naked, they take one step even further by protecting your online reputation as well.
Digital security is a complex topic that you easily put aside and don't care about until it's too late. To highlight the issue in a new and relevant way, Norton now launches a service that gives you right to the top search results that pop up when someone googles your name. In the result, that is based on an Adwords-ad, the consumer can decide what to display.
Carolina Ramno, Press Officer at Norton Nordics, said: “Most employers and as many as 50% of all singles googles the name of the person they are about to meet before they meet in person. It means that people get their first impression of each other online, but that is a place where we have little control over how we are exposed. With this campaign, we want to show that we are fighting to protect and help our customers to control their digital identity.”
The campaign is part of Norton's efforts to become a more consumer-friendly and emotional brand.
“We wanted to find a new way to talk about Norton's products that was not based on scare tactics, rather we wanted to help people with something they really care about. And by getting people to realize the benefit of having an eye on their digital life, it will be easier to sell Norton's other products as well.” says Christopher Dymling, creative director of the campaign at Naked.
On
