Nigel Tribe Joins BBDO Atlanta as Associate Head of Strategy
BBDO Atlanta announced today that Nigel Tribe has joined the agency as Associate Head of Strategy, a new role. He was most recently Head of Strategy at Leo Burnett Singapore. In his new role, Tribe will work with BBDO Atlanta Chief Strategy Officer Tricia Russo in applying the agency’s multi-dimensional strategic offering to deliver effective, results-driven, end-to-end marketing campaigns for clients. He joined the agency in late-August.
“We are thrilled to have Nigel as part of our team. His experience is a perfect fit for the calibre of thinking we are committed to at BBDO Atlanta. We believe clients deserve strong brand builders who can innovate for today’s complex communications landscape. With a background in traditional brand planning and communications planning, Nigel has been driving that kind of thinking for dozens of clients across multiple countries and continents,” said Ms. Russo.
Tribe’s career has spanned 18 years and four countries – USA, UK, China, and Singapore. At Leo Burnett Singapore, he oversaw the strategy department which included planning specialties across digital, brand, and social and community management. He’s worked for clients like Nike, Xbox, Sprite, Activision and AT&T, and has contributed to major advertising awards including an Effie Grand Prix, the APGs, Cannes, Andy’s and One Show. Earlier this year, he served as a judge for the Global Effies.
“Nigel’s arrival continues our ongoing efforts to bulk up our talent and capabilities to best service our clients, which tend to have complex communication needs because they operate in higher-price categories that consumers research heavily before purchasing,” said Drew Panayiotou, CEO, BBDO Atlanta. “Adding someone with Nigel’s experience in complex brands — and global perspective — is consistent with that goal.”
In addition to Mr. Tribe, BBDO Atlanta recently hired Robin Fitzgerald to be its new Chief Creative Officer. The agency has also been on a new business roll, having won creative agency of record responsibilities for Norwegian Cruise Line, Sanderson Farms, and Novant Health, and recently retained AT&T and Georgia Lottery.
