Richmond, Britain's best-loved sausage brand, have appointed Impero as lead digital agency to handle its online refresh

London-based creative digital and social agency Impero has been tasked with delivering a refreshed digital strategy and content for Richmond sausages, a brand with a long history dating back to 1889, they’ve been producing their original Irish recipe for over 100 years.

Impero won the digital strategy work for Richmond, part of the Kerry Foods Group, following a competitive pitch process. They will work on the brand to align its online presence with the launch of their new 'The Nation’s Favourite' TV ad, created by Saatchi & Saatchi.

Impero’s work on the brand kicked off with the launch of Richmond’s new website to align their digital property to their recent brand relaunch earlier this year. Impero will continue to support "The Nation’s Favourite" campaign message at a digital level providing strategic oversight and content production alongside a rigorous media strategy. The work will tie in with the rollout of the new packaging and overall repositioning of the product.

On the digital win, Creative Director of Impero, Michael Scantlebury said: “As household names go, they don’t come much bigger than Richmond. With big ambitions and expectations following the rollout of the new packaging and messaging, we are excited to be bringing the brand to life online, all the way from strategy to execution. The newly designed website is an excellent start to the upcoming work.”

On the digital appointment, Julie-ann Twomey, Brand Manager at Kerry Foods said: “We are delighted to appoint Impero as our lead digital agency for Richmond.
