Eduardo “Alvin” Cruz and Morten Vinther join New York and L.A. offices respectively in CD and Head of 2D roles
Global creative studio MPC has announced the addition of two talented individuals to their US roster. Eduardo “Alvin” Cruz joins in MPC New York as Creative Director, while Morten Vinther joins MPC Los Angeles team as their new Head of 2D.

Says Justin Brukman, Managing Director for MPC US, “I speak for the entire team when I say we’re excited to have Alvin and Morten on board. We look forward to welcoming them and their creative approach to the craft, as well as their ability to develop and nurture talent.”

Cruz joins from Method with an extensive portfolio in the VFX space. Passionate about setting new creative standards and raising the bar on visual quality, he’s an artist of many skills, admitting that he owned a Flame license before ever touching a traditional desktop. He’s since gone on to work with many notable brands including; Coca Cola, Target, Crown Royal, BMW, Volvo, Adidas and GE. He has worked alongside directing talent such as Peter Thwaites, Roman Coppola and Christopher Riggert,

Most recently, Cruz successfully supervised the “Milk Life” campaign with director Geordie Stephens, and also worked on the popular AT&T “Everywhere” spot directed by Tom Kuntz. He was also sole Creative Director on the 2016 Sundance-winning “Swiss Army Man”     (directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), a feature starring Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe.

Whether Cruz is doing one of his long-distance bike trips on the weekend, or visiting a museum or gallery, he holds constantly seeking inspiration from external resources at the utmost importance. His other passions lie in DJing, traveling the world and his dog, Julio.

Vinther joins from Glassworks in Amsterdam, where he was Head of 2D, in addition to holding a variety of posts. A native of Denmark, his comprehensive experience in managing, leading and recruiting high-end VFX teams has led him as far afield as Copenhagen, Edinburgh, London, Dublin and Sydney.

Following a string of international award-winning projects, Vinther has recently worked with directors like Derek Cianfrance, Martin Krejci and Tomas Mankovsky on ad content for top brands such as Nike, Samsung, Adidas, Netflix, Louis Vuitton, Smirnoff and Heineken.

A keen photographer, art lover and failed bass player, Vinther can presently be spotted pedaling his two miniature schnauzers, Marley and Freckles, around the Culver City area.
