Monty was previously ECD at Omnicom Media Group’s content agency Drum

Monty Verdi has joined VCCP’s content division, VCCP Kin, as executive creative director. He will oversee the output of the agency, working with clients such as O2, Shell, easyJet, Kia, Nationwide, Domino’s, Cadbury and Unilever.

Verdi joins the agency from Omnicom Media Group’s content agency Drum where he has been executive creative director since 2017, responsible for delivering campaigns for all the agency’s client partners. Highlights included the award-winning ‘No one should have no one’ work for Age UK, a world first product integration for Porsche with James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke and leading McDonald’s social and content activity.

Prior to his role at Drum, Verdi spent seven years as a creative director at CHI creating award winning work for TalkTalk, The Times, Argos, Samsung, and most notably Lexus Europe & Lexus International, with the Lexus ‘Hoverboard’ campaign winning over ninety awards including Gold, Silver and Bronze Cannes Lions. Awards also included a Gold Cyber Lion and Grand Prix for Branded Content.

Peter Grenfell, managing director of VCCP Kin said: “Our ambition is simple. To create world-class modern communications ideas which challenge the traditional rules of the category. Monty is the contemporary creative leader that will help us do that.”

On joining VCCP Kin, Monty Verdi said: “I don’t like to use the C word. Does anyone know exactly what ‘content’ means? For me it’s as simple as ideas that reach people in new ways. With the clients and modern breed of talent at VCCP Kin, it’s a huge opportunity to define what Content can be.”
