A new film from RSA Films' directing collective M.O.D captures a unique Madison race for Blaze at the Six Day London cycling event at the Olympic velodrome.
Blaze design innovative products for urban cyclists. Their launch product, the laserlight, combines a powerful white LED with a green laser. Designed to reduce the risk of side-sweep incidents, it alerts motorists to the cyclist’s presence by projecting the symbol of a bike on the ground six metres ahead. The lights are now being rolled out across Santander cycles in London.
The velodrome performance was made into a film by directing collective M.O.D; Alberto Serna, Head of Brand at Blaze explains: “We wanted to film the moments leading up to the performance and the actual piece in an inspiring way. For that, it was important both to capture the energy and finesse of the riders on the track, and showcase Blaze’s lights against a dream backdrop. Blaze is at the intersection of cycling, design and technology and this is something we wanted to express in the film.”
M.O.D's reel, including series of films for Rapha, can be viewed here.
