FCB New Zealand works with animal trainer Mark Vette to teach an octopus to shoot a Sony TX30

Advertising agency, FCB New Zealand, Kelly Tarlton’s SEA LIFE Aquarium and animal trainer Mark Vette taught an octopus to take photos on a Sony TX30 underwater camera in New Zealand.

Rambo, a female octopus, was a quick learner too. It only took three attempts for her to understand the process, that’s faster than a dog! In fact, it’s probably faster than a human in some instances.

The Octographer currently lives at Kelly Tarlton’s SEA LIFE Aquarium in Auckland, New Zealand where visitors will be able to make a $2 donation, with all proceeds going back to the SEA LIFE Conservation Fund, an organization dedicated to the protection of marine wildlife and conservation.
