DDB's remit will cover both creative and social media for the fast food company
McDonald’s Australia has expanded DDB Sydney’s remit to include social, moving the latter responsibilities from VMLY&R, Sydney.
A spokesperson from McDonald’s said: “After reviewing the support we require from our external partners, we’ve made the decision to consolidate our creative and social agency support; expanding DDB’s remit to include the management of our social channels.
“We enjoyed a productive relationship with VMLY&R and thank them for the work they delivered during their partnership with us.”
Says Priya Patel, managing director at DDB Sydney: “We are thrilled to be expanding our relationship with McDonald’s. It’s a testament to the strength of our 48-year partnership and DDB’s growing social capability. We look forward to this next phase in our story together.”
