UK agency receives coveted award for first time for its work for clients including L’Oréal and Aldi

McCann Named Effectiveness Network of Year at 2018 IPA Effectiveness Awards

McCann UK was named Effectiveness Network of the Year at the 2018 IPA Effectiveness Awards - the first time the network accolade had been won by the agency. The Special Prize for Effectiveness Network of the Year goes to the agency brand with at least two winning papers from at least two agency offices that accumulates the most judging points.

The 2018 IPA Effectiveness Awards are the world’s most rigorous and prestigious Awards scheme with entrants having to prove the payback of their communications activity. In total nine gold, 18 silver and 11 bronze prizes, along with 10 special prizes, were awarded to companies from six countries.

McCann UK's winning result came from multiple awards demonstrating consistency and excellence across a range of categories and initiatives.

In addition to McCann UK winning Effectiveness Network of the Year, McCann London received two accolades for its work for True Match (L’Oréal Paris) - How L'Oréal Paris UK True Match climbed to No.1 by making everyone feel ‘Worth It’: a special award the #IPASocialWorks Prize for Best Use of Social Media and a Gold.

Working as part of the McCann UK Aldi team, for its work with the grocery retailer in the UK and Ireland, a Silver was awarded to McCann Manchester for Aldi, Kevin the Carrot 2016 and 2017: How Aldi UK won Christmas with the help of a humble carrot and a Bronze for Aldi: Shop, Eat. Repeat. How a bold repositioning campaign restored Aldi to record growth.
