As part of the RAF’s centenary, this exciting three part series follows model aircraft enthusiasts from Britain and Germany who have recreated the Battle of Britain in miniature, in order to understand and commemorate the pilots.

Sara Ramsden, Executive Producer at Love Productions said: ‘The average age of a Battle of Britain pilot in 1940 was 20 years old. I hope we can bring the story of their achievement to a whole new generation of younger TV viewers. Their stories will be illustrated by the many young modellers of the same age that are coming to take part in this audacious TV experiment.’

Rob Coldstream, Commissioning Editor at Channel 4 said: ‘It’s thrilling to be bringing this iconic and important story back to life for a new generation. These aircraft are truly spectacular and thanks to innovative camera technology viewers will be able to experience the battle for themselves in a way that’s entirely new.’

Tim has worked as Musical Director to successful artists such as Oleta Adams and Des’ree, with whom Tim co-wrote the international hit 'I'm Kissing You', and has scored numerous feature films (The Invention Of Lying, Cemetery Junction, The Christmas Candle), feature documentaries (9.79, The Fall, Match 64), and television documentary series, (Tough Young Teachers, Famous, Rich and Homeless). In 2016, Tim scored three memorable feature documentaries for director Dan Gordon; Hillsborough, a definitive account of the tragic events of April 15, 1989; Don’t Look Down, a biopic of Richard Branson centred around his attempts to break world records in balloon flight; and George Best: All By Himself, a heart-breaking account of the fall from grace of one of the most naturally gifted footballers of all time.

The series starts this Sunday on Channel 4 at 8pm.
