'Lawful Killing' illustrates the final moments of Mark Duggan’s life, the man whose killing by a police marksman sparked the worst riots in modern British history, taking five further lives with them. The 90-minute documentary, using a combination of dramatised reconstructions, personal testimony and official records, attempts to get to the bottom of this case.
The tragic and endlessly involving story was sensitively scored by Barcelona-born composer Roger Goula. His most recent commissions includes the feature documentaries 'Versus: The Life And Films Of Ken Loach' and 'The Hard Stop', an acclaimed film directed by George Amponsah. In addition, Goula’s debut solo release 'Overview Effect' has just come out via brand new label Cognitive Shift Recordings, a collaborative imprint from Manners McDade Music Publishing and One Little Indian Records.
