LBB’s Laura Swinton introduces the coolest beach club around

This week my life of metaphorical plate spinning got that bit more… plate spin-y. I’m thinking of entering an act into Britain’s Got Talent; I reckon a bit of frantic schedule juggling would resonate with Simon Cowell. Yes, the pre-Cannes build up is well under way. And while that means the editorial team have been multi-tasking email sprees, meetings and panic attacks it also means that something rather more enjoyable is on the horizon: The LBB & Friends Beach.

This year, our week-long hang out session at the Croisette Beach looks set to be more diverse and vibrant than ever before. We’ll see the return of The Hanging Gardens (phone charging and massages courtesy of Jungle and Native), goody bags full of brilliant swag, daily Happy Hours and some other surprises for you to get involved with this year.

One of the big changes this year is that you’ll need a wristband to access the beach, so to make sure you don’t miss out on the coolest beach club in Cannes, click here to register.

The beach will be open from 10am to 6pm from Tuesday 23 to Friday 26, with Happy Hour 4-6pm every day (so enjoy some beer and rosé on us and our sponsors!)

We’ve got a great group of partners who are making the whole thing happen – some friendly familiar faces on the beach and some just as friendly new ones. It’s going to be my third year at Cannes Lions with Little Black Book (I think my fifth or sixth Cannes overall) and the LBB & Friends Beach has become a much needed refuge in the swirl of meetings, interviews, events and parties. Having a place to have a paddle, a glass of rosé and even a cheeky snooze on a sun lounger has been the one thing that keeps me just about sane during the week, so I want to also just extend a personal thanks to everyone who helps make it possible.
