Marketing communications agency Lowe Campbell Ewald has named Angela Zepeda President, Chief Marketing Officer. In her new role, Zepeda, previously President, Managing Director, of Lowe Campbell Ewald’s Los Angeles office, will assume responsibility in leading the agency in new business development, focusing on the external marketing and promotion of the agency across the U.S., as well as continuing her role in fostering key client relationships. She will report directly to CEO Jim Palmer.

“Lowe Campbell Ewald is focused on growing our business across the U.S., and Angela’s role is to bolster our new business relationships and identify opportunities that fit our agency’s strengths,” said Palmer. “Angela’s extensive background working alongside clients to develop and build their businesses has given her the skills and know-how on how to expand a client’s portfolio, which she will now focus on doing for Lowe Campbell Ewald.”

For the past 10 years, Zepeda has been instrumental in building Lowe Campbell Ewald’s Los Angeles office with organic growth of current clients, as well as being responsible for new business development leading to partnerships with Ghirardelli Chocolates, Chicken of the Sea, California Association of REALTORS, Energy Upgrade California, Western Governors University, PIMCO Financial Services, LifeLock, and Pasolivo Olive Oil.

Under her leadership, Zepeda has also led the development of the award-winning Kaiser Permanente “Thrive” campaign. Now in its eleventh year, the work has extended beyond a brand campaign platform to one-to-one communications utilizing key touch points to intersect with consumers with relevant and personalized content.

With more than 25 years of advertising experience, Zepeda has worked previously at TBWA\Chiat\Day, Team One, Rapp Collins, Doner, and FCB with deep experience in key industry sectors, including automotive, healthcare, financial services and packaged goods. She is also an expert on marketing to women, with a keen understanding of the emotional triggers involved in women's retail habits. Zepeda has spoken on the topic at various conferences, including the ISSM CONVERGE Conference; the WLN Conference; the M2W Conference in Chicago; and the Marketing to Women Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Zepeda holds an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications/advertising from California State University, Fullerton.
