Kingfisher Appoints MEC and GroupM to Media Account

MEC has been appointed by Kingfisher to lead its consolidated media account across the seven international markets in which it operates.

The appointment is the result of a competitive pitch process against undisclosed agencies.

MEC will lead the account internationally and in five of Kingfisher’s markets: The UK and Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal and Romania. In Russia and Poland the business will be handled by GroupM agencies Maxus and Mindshare.

MEC previously held the account in the UK and Maxus in Russia.

MEC, Maxus and Mindshare will handle all offline media in all countries, and the online media in the majority of them. Some specialist digital agencies have been retained.
