Launches new 'Small to Big' national campaign via Bashful
Creative agency Bashful has today revealed the new "From Small to Big" campaign for Kennards Hire, with a 30-second TVC, digital advertising and radio.
Celebrating 70 years of Australian entrepreneurial success for Kennards Hire, the campaign tells the story of the brand's humble beginnings as 'W. Kennard & Company' in a Bathurst garage in 1948 to become Australia's #1 family-owned hire business across Australia and New Zealand.
Says Tim Chenery, creative director, Bashful: "Our approach was to tell a simple story. Just one bloke telling another bloke a few things about Kennards Hire as they walk across a work site. We then had some fun with the visuals to do the rest of the storytelling, and add a little humour."
Says Manelle Merhi, head of marketing, Kennards Hire: "When Walter Kennard was asked by a customer if they could borrow a concrete mixer rather than buy one, Wally said, "I won't lend it to you, but you can hire it" and the rest is history. His small rural supply and machinery business now has over 160 branches and supplies equipment to some of the biggest worksites across Australia and New Zealand.
