CORD has announced the addition of Karina Byrne and Jonny Taylor to the supervision team.
Jonny (who has played and toured with Ed Sheeran and Jason Mraz) has 15 years’ experience in the music industry. His focus at CORD will be the growth of the supervision business. Working closely with ECD Dominic Goodman, Jonny will be expanding on existing client relationships and developing new partnerships amongst the networks.
Jonny began his career in music as a singer/songwriter and producer and has become a published songwriter (his work has featured in several advertising campaigns).
From songwriting Jonny moved into music marketing, where he worked with Big Gig Media. The roles saw him work with brands and major international tours of artists such as Justin Bieber, Usher and One Direction, as well as high profile shows like American Idol. Jonny also spent time working for Rapture Entertainment - forging partnerships between brands and artists such as Little Mix and Five Seconds of Summer - and Big Sync Music - focussing on single-source music buying and decoupling.
As an alumni of London College of Music, Karina spent three years studying music law, licensing, composition and recording. As a singer/songwriter she has played with the likes of Scouting For Girls and Professor Green and is part of a network of performers playing in venues across London.
Karina will be joining CORD's supervision business as licensing executive. Working alongside head of licensing Alison Butters, Karina’s focus will be on music licenses and assisting on music searches.
Forging her career at Music and Audio Post Production studio, Pure Soho, Karina worked as a Studio Assistant. Her next step took her to Grand Central Recording Studios where she worked in marketing whilst training in sound design and music production.
