Ricardo John, Chief Creative Officer of J. Walter Thompson Brazil since 2012, is the new CEO of J. Walter Thompson Brazil. Since 2013, the agency had been led by Ezra Geld, who is now the Chief Strategy Officer of the group that includes the companies J. Walter Thompson (Brand Strategy and Communication), Try (User Experience), Mutato (Content), Blinks (Performance and Programmatic Media), i-Cherry (Search), Enext Consultoria (e-commerce and Marketing Cloud) and the global network of agencies Mirum.
John had been sharing this role with Ezra Geld for the last six months. The transition was intentional, to ensure that the succession would occur as smoothly as possible. Ricardo John will continue reporting to Ezra Geld and will accumulate the positions of Chief Creative Officer Latam and Brazil. André PB, Chief Business Officer, will now share his time between the Thompson agency and the group. "We know that the future of communication is becoming more and more diverse and, therefore, the development strategy of the J. Walter Thompson Group in Brazil is to have a full range of services for our clients", says Geld.
For Ricardo John, the current challenge is to show clients the agency's intimacy with the brands and its ability to make them grow. “Our role is to simplify the client's life and offer solutions that help make their business grow. We start from a perfect strategy and seamless creation and manage to expand it throughout the consumer journey", says Ricardo John.
