Kenny Rennard joins as ECD and Steve Coy and Jason Szatmary have both joined as vice presidents

Isobar has announced the addition of three key hires in the Boston office.  Kenny Rennard joined as an Executive Creative Director and Steve Coy and Jason Szatmary have both joined as vice presidents.  All three will report to co-CEOs Geoff Cubitt and Jeff Maling.

Rennard is responsible for integrating storytelling into all aspects of Isobar’s creative process and will work across all US accounts in addition to supporting new business efforts. Rennard will be based in Boston.

“Isobar has grown and evolved over the past year and Boston has become a real priority for us,” said Jeff Mailing.  “We see a lot of growth potential in the region and really wanted to tap into the creative community.  These key new hires will allow us to stay on this path of innovation and help us continue to push the limits of creativity and technology.”

Speaking to Isobar’s commitment to creativity, Rennard will evolve the way Isobar conceptualises and delivers big ideas and campaign work. He will work across all offices to ensure that storytelling is at the centre of all work produced and projects are emotionally driven.

“The opportunity to lead the charge on Isobar’s movement to put an even greater emphasis on creative was one I could not pass up,” said Kenny Rennard, Executive Creative Director, Isobar. “I’m also looking forward to having the chance to focus a bit more on storytelling and campaign work and being able to weave one cohesive story throughout everything we do.  That coupled with Isobar’s ability to be so innovative and progressive in both technologies and applications was what truly what got my attention.”

Prior to Isobar, Rennard had spent a little over a decade at Digitas.  While there, he led accounts such as Bank of America, GM and Harley Davidson, overseeing a team of nearly 40 creatives.  His work has been recognised by a number of industry accolades, including Cannes Lions, Webby, Communication Arts, Shorty Awards, IAB MIXX, etc.

Recently, Isobar also brought on Steve Coy and Jason Szatmary, as vice presidents.

Coy is responsible for managing a number of business across the Boston and New York offices, including Hannaford and Sotheby’s.  In addition, he will help lead new practice and service development, with a heavy focus on new business.  Szatmary is charged with solving Isobar’s client’s most complex problems and opportunities.  He is currently focused on new opportunities.

Prior to Isobar, Coy was Director of Client Services at SapientNitro.  While there he had full P&L and sales responsibility for a portfolio of businesses including digital strategy, digital transformation, marketing, brand experience, technology and omni-channel commerce accounts.  In addition, he oversaw all business aspects and interacted cross-departmentally within the company to support revenue and margin targets.  Before SapientNitro, Coy was Director, Business Consulting at Oracle.  In that role, Coy provided high-end, digital business consulting for projects related to marketing, branding, technology evaluation and advisory, PMO, innovation, multi-channel strategy, financial modelling, and business case development.

Another SapientNitro alum, Szatmary previously held the role of Group Account Director, where he was responsible for partnering with clients to successfully collaborate and strategise around key business objectives.  He was also accountable for creating and driving the account strategy, casting, organic growth in addition to, new business development, operations, negotiating commercial terms, pricing and contract authoring.

Isobar’s new focus on the Boston office speaks to its commitment to talent, creativity and storytelling.  Each new team addition brings a unique skill set that, when put together, will propel the agency into the next phase of growth.
