iris Concise Launches Data Apprenticeship Scheme
iris Concise has launched a UK Data Apprenticeship Scheme, as part of a mission to better attract and nurture ‘Creative Data Scientists’, while encouraging more diverse talent into the business.
The consulting, CRM, data & insight business, which is part of iris’ global creative innovation network, aims to accelerate the evolution of its data strategy capabilities with the initiative.
The gap between creativity and data continues to narrow in the realm of advertising and marketing – and the need for agencies to better support talent that can grow and exist across the two disciplines has become increasingly important. As a result – a hybrid often dubbed ‘The Creative Data Scientist’ has evolved to become a crucial part of the agency eco-system. However, there are currently no training courses that offer real time experience that bridge the two worlds.

The two-year specialist scheme will feature training in analytics, research and digital intelligence skills, delivered by a commercial team of consultants from various backgrounds. The training will provide employees with a holistic business understanding, allowing participants to apply specialist qualifications across diverse business challenges and client opportunities.
The apprenticeship is built around tools crucial to ‘Creative Data Scientist’ role, and the wider analytical remit, with advanced training in SQL, Excel and VBA coupled with internationally recognised qualifications in SAS. Iris Concise will also support every individual participant with a tailored career development plan to support in future roles.
Acquired by iris in 2008, the reach of iris Concise has since expanded to include specialist strategic consultants in seven offices throughout the world, working alongside iris to add commercial rigour across all marketing outputs.
