Huge Bolsters Creative Roster Across the Globe

Hugh Connelly, David Clarke, Inessah Selditz, Claudio Guglieri and Meg Douglass join the agency

Huge today announced it has hired David Clarke from AKQA as executive creative director; Claudio Guglieri from Microsoft as group creative director; Inessah Selditz from Rockwell Group as group experiential director; and Meg Douglass from Grey as creative director. Additionally, Huge veteran, Hugh Connelly has been promoted to executive creative director and relocated from the agency’s Atlanta office to Singapore to support the booming growth of this APAC-serving office.

In a joint statement, chief creative officer, Jason Musante, and chief design officer, Derek Fridman, said: “We are thrilled that the agency is attracting top talent globally. These additions mark our commitment to integrating end-to-end capabilities under one roof, allowing us to create the most seamless and unified experiences for our clients possible and to continue driving the industry forward.”

Clarke, based at the agency’s global headquarters Brooklyn will be responsible for the growing relationship with Google, a client Huge has worked with since 2013 collaborating on a wide variety of projects over the years. Douglass and Selditz will also be based in Brooklyn working on a range of clients. Guglieri will be based in the agency’s west coast Oakland office joining the creative team servicing clients such as Dolby and UCSF.

These creative hires follow the new hire announcement of three executives at the agency’s headquarters in Dumbo, Brooklyn and the creative agency-of-record win from Realtor.com, in addition to being a leading agency in IPG’s Q4 2018 earning report released February 13th, 2019.


Hugh Connelly, Executive Creative Director

After spending over five years leading the creative teams in Huge second largest Atlanta office, Hugh has moved to across the world to assume his new role as Executive Creative Director of the Singapore office.

In his new role, Hugh works at the intersection of digital, branding & marketing in the rapidly growing APAC-focused office. He will be working on the office’s largest client, SK-II on multiple projects from digital retail innovation, e-commerce design. He has over 15 years of experience creating interactive cross-channel experiences and award-winning and impactful campaigns for some of the world’s biggest brands such as Capital One, Coca-Cola, LG, Google, Randstad, Airheads, and McDonald’s. 

He has spent his career partnering with brands around the world including GE, IBM, P&G, and Under Armour. His work has been recognised and awarded globally by The Effies, Communication Arts, Ad Week, American Graphic Design.


David Clarke, Executive Creative Director

David Clarke, executive creative director, will be based in the Brooklyn office and will lead the global creative vision for the agency’s Google account. He will report into Mark Manning, the Google account’s managing director who recently relocated to Huge Oakland after leading Huge London’s operations for the past two years.

Clarke brings more than 17 years of creative experience to this role, and most recently served as a member of AKQA’s New York executive team. In his previous role, he led creative projects, as well as product and platform launches throughout AKQA’s North American accounts. This past year, Clarke was recognised as one of Adweek’s Leading 15 Mobile innovators.Prior to his time at AKQA, Clarke served as DDB’s digital creative director in its Sydney and Melbourne offices. 

During his career, Clarke has focused on defining brands through making products and services for every customer touchpoint - including major mobile service offerings, games, experience centers, and physical experiences. Through these offerings, Clarke has created new brand experiences for some of the world’s largest companies,including Verizon, Nike, McDonald's, Volkswagen, Telstra and General Electric, pioneering experiences across North America, Europe, China, the Middle East, and Australia, to critical acclaim and monumental commercial success.


Inessah Selditz, Group Experiential Director

Inessah Selditz joins Huge as group experiential director where she will strengthen the agency's growing 'Places & Spaces' experiential design capability. Reporting to chief design officer, Derek Fridman, her role focuses on the convergence of UX and design as it relates to physical spaces and creating quality user experiences to be delivered to clients across the Huge network. 

Previously, Selditz held senior creative and design positions at the LAB at Rockwell Group, a global architecture and experience design firm. She has worked on leading brands like Hudson Yards, Estee Lauder, Brookfield, Cooper Hewitt, Starwood, Nobu, Smithsonian and Fairmont on experiential master planning, immersive environments and brand strategy. Notable projects include Hudson Yards Experience Center, Hudson Yards Observation Deck, M.A.C. Retail, TsX, Academy Awards, Tia Health and Facebook Experience Center. She has consulted for major industries spanning real estate, technology, retail, hospitality, healthcare, transportation, civic and cultural institutions.


Claudio Guglieri, Group Creative Director

Claudio Guglieri, group creative director in Oakland will be responsible for the creative department in west coast office. 

Prior to Huge, Guglieri led the visual direction of Fluent Design, Microsoft’s own design system and managed design teams that worked on future audio and video experiences for Windows. 

Guglieri has global experience working at agencies across the US and the UK where he drove the design efforts for a variety of clients such as Adobe, Apple, CNN, Reuters, EA, Google and Viacom. Over the years his work has been awarded by the Emmy Awards (digital product design Nickelodeon App), the One Show Interactive, and the European Design Awards among others. 

His extensive contributions to the design industry includes inspirational talks at events such as TEDx, UXWeek by Capital One, AIGA San Diego, OFFF events, Awwwards Conferences and many others around the world. 


Meg Douglass, Creative Director

Meg Douglass, Creative Director, will be based in Brooklyn and oversee marketing work across one of the agency’s recent AOR wins. Prior to Huge, she worked at Grey, McKinney, TBWA Chiat, Mullen, Supermoon and Disney where she created award-winning national and global integrated campaigns on a wide variety of clients, including Nationwide Insurance, Walgreens, Gold’s Gym, Travelocity, Embassy Suites Hotels, Sherwin-Williams Paints, and Samsung.
