Homespun has announced that Paul O’Reilly won the Best Editing In A Video award at this year’s UKMVAs, the second year in a row that Homespun has won this category.
O’Reilly won the award for cutting the chloro-filthy nature film, Run the Jewels' ‘Love Again’, directed by Pulse films’ Ninian Doff, the video also won best urban video.
Excited to be a winner at the industry’s most prestigious awards Paul commented, “Amazing to win an MVA and for such a cool project that was brilliant to be involved in”.
O’Reilly ensured the 17 hours of footage captured on the shoot, was cut to give the insects and plants the personality to pull off the hypnotic sexual references and said, “The challenge was choosing the right moments to give each insect a personality throughout the film, we wanted the bees to look horny, the butterflies seductive, the flies dominated and the Venus flytraps alluring”.
In September O’Reilly walked away with the Stellar Editing award at the AOC awards and he’s nominated for best editing in a music video at the LIAs.
