Hiscox USA Appoints gyro as Agency of Record

Agency will build on the company’s award-winning 'Encourage Courage' campaign

Hiscox USA Appoints gyro as Agency of Record

Hiscox USA, a leading speciality insurer, today announced the selection of gyro New York as its marketing and advertising agency of record. The agency is tasked with continuing to raise awareness of Hiscox USA’s products and solutions, as well as building on the company’s award-winning 'Encourage Courage' campaign.

“Gyro’s fearless and innovative approach to marketing is exactly what we were looking for in a partner,” said Hiscox USA’s Head of Marketing, Russ Findlay. “As a company that has been at the forefront of technological innovation in the insurance industry, we’re excited to work with gyro to continue to build upon the successes of Encourage Courage and take the campaign to new heights.”

Insurance companies often focus on minimising risk, rather than embracing it. Hiscox USA’s Encourage Courage campaign pivots away from this approach. As noted in the campaign’s creative: “We don’t fear risk — we fear not taking it: Hiscox helps people and businesses embrace risk and reach their full potential.”

Since the campaign’s inception in 2014, Encourage Courage has continued to serve as the bedrock and unifying theme of Hiscox’s marketing and communication initiatives. Beginning with their award-winning docuseries, Courageous Leaders, Hiscox has continued to deliver an innovative array of valuable content aimed at small business owners.

“Hiscox’s innovative and unique voice has helped them to become the authority on small business insurance and widely recognised as a thought leader across speciality insurance risk,” said Wendy Lurrie, managing director at gyro. “We are thrilled to partner with Hiscox to help take their inspirational message to the next level.”
