HERO Welcomes Director Andy Barmer

HERO is thrilled to have signed Andy Barmer as a director. Andy is renowned in post production having been in the past Managing Director of both The Mill and Absolute Post. But after 20 years in the business of the advertising business his creative juices were fit to burst and Andy is now applying his expertise in the creative arena as a film-maker.

Andy shoots, directs and edits elegant and understated films. His documentary work is eloquent and mature and so beautiful as to suggest the visuals are as important as the subjects.

His graceful use of graphics and composition keeps the work clean and appealing. And with a listening ear, lovely manner and ability to sprinkle humour into even the most serious of topics Andy is well placed to shoot for brands wanting to show ‘real people’.

A talented photographer Andy has shot photo essays in locations from Didcot to the Gambia. He has a talent for putting his subjects at ease and capturing that elusive creature, the essence of character.

Andy has a passion for communication and blends techniques from documentary, marketing and entertainment to create compelling content. He is a skilled technician and a deft story-teller with a armoury of craft at his disposal.
