Hector and Norma Orcí, founders of multicultural agency Orcí, will be inducted into The Culture Marketing Council’s 2018 Hall of Fame on Tuesday, June 5, following decades spent at the forefront of the Hispanic advertising field.

To date, Orcí has successfully launched over 30 brands into the Hispanic market and worked with 90-plus brands overall, forging lasting bonds between Fortune 500 companies like Dole, Honda, Disneyland and Acura, and the Hispanic community nationwide.

Recalling the early days of the Hispanic marketing industry, Norma Orcí, co-founder and co-chair, said, “When we founded Orcí in 1986, we first needed to prove the value of Latino consumers to corporate America, so we crafted a strategic approach that helped us do just that. We call it earning Share of Hear and to this day, it continues to generate results that consistently prove our point.”

Hector Orcí, co-founder and co-chair, echoed his wife’s sentiments. “We had the opportunity to help create an industry, and the pleasure of helping to populate it. Our agency has always recruited first rate professionals committed to making a difference for our clients, and for the Latino community as a whole and it’s a tradition we’re proud of.”

The Orcís will be recognized alongside Daisy Expósito-Ulla, Nick Mendoza and Monica Lozano during an awards gala at the 2018 AHAA Annual Conference on June 5 at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles.

"We are honoured to recognise these men and women who created an entire industry with their forethought and strategic cultural expertise," said CMC Chair Isaac Mizrahi. "From agency leadership to creativity and media proliferation, each of our 2018 Hall of Fame inductees played a vital role in the flourishing multicultural marketing industry of today."

Founded in 1996 as the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies, the Culture Marketing Council is the national trade organization of all marketing, communications and media firms with trusted culture expertise. As The Voice of Hispanic Marketing, CMC recognizes visionaries and leaders who have made significant contributions to the development and advancement in Hispanic advertising and marketing spaces.
