The Creative Circle issues stark new message for 2018
In 2016/2017 the Creative Circle pledged 10% of all award entry fees and 100% of membership fees to support greater diversity in the creative departments of the future. In 2017/2018 the UK’s longest running advertising awards body is now telling you not to bother entering at all.

In an industry increasingly diluted with awards shows and sycophants, the Creative Circle President and Joint CCO of Grey London, Vicki Maguire, is setting a challenge;

Don’t enter the Creative Circle 
If it’s just going to sit on your shelf. 
Don’t enter
If it’s going to gather dust. 
Don’t enter 
If winning will just favour the few.
Don’t enter 
If it’s just there to prop up your ego.
If you’re in it for the money.
If you think you’ve won already. 
Don’t enter. 
If you think you have a better chance in a global show
Save your money. 

Maguire’s 2016/2017 ‘We Will Never Be Like Them’ manifesto established the new anarchic creative direction of the Creative Circle. And they’ve not let up with their message for 2018. Echoing Maguire’s sentiment, Creative Circle CEO Jeremy Green said: “Throughout 2018 the Creative Circle will continue furthering its mission to unite Britain’s creative industry, if you don’t want to be part of the UK creative community, then don’t enter.”
