Grey DPI Group Names Ayesha Pinto Regional Director, Strategic Planning

Ayesha was most recently Manager of Strategic Services at marketing agency Barrows

Grey’s shopper marketing arm, Grey DPI Group, has appointed Ayesha Pinto as Regional Director, Strategic Planning, to drive more shopper insights and strategies into the shopper based design works.

Pinto came on board on 19 January and will report to Adeline Lee, CEO of Grey DPI Group. In this new role, she will leveraging her extensive experience in shopper marketing and strategic planning to drive shopper based design strategies for the Group.

Pinto comes with over 10 years of extensive international experience across clients and agency, having worked at organizations like L’Oreal, APB and Fosters and with clients like Unilever, Nestlé, Mondelēz, Kimberly Clark, GSK, to name a few. Categories she has worked on include hair care, oral care, feminine care, food and nutrition, baby and child care, chocolates, biscuits, confectionary, alcoholic beverages and medical devices.

On the agency side, she was most recently Manager, Strategic Services at Barrows, a Global, Shopper Marketing Agency, in the retail space. WPP has part ownership in Barrows, which is headquartered out of South Africa. Based in Singapore, Pinto was single-handedly responsible for leading the shopper insights and strategic planning function for the Asia Pacific region. She has also worked out of the Barrows office in South Africa.

Lee commented on her appointment, “Pinto has an impressive track record building brands in the FMCG space and driving insights, to ideation, to execution. Her expertise spans across the Asia Pacific region, parts of Africa and India – where she has worked across developed and emerging markets. “
