New spaces include five VFX and finishing suites and a new audio suite
Gramercy Park Studios (GPS), a leading provider of creative production, post production and digital services, has announced the redevelopment of its central London facility. As one of the only post houses in the capital to offer audio and visual post within a single collaborative space, the future-proofed infrastructure solutions will solidify GPS’ position at the forefront of the UK post production market.

After months of technical evaluations, the facility has been reconfigured, creating a range of new work spaces with robust and flexible kit to meet the demands of its post clients. These new spaces include five VFX and finishing suites and a new audio suite, offering clients the opportunity to call on the latest technology to meet their post-production requirements, all under one roof.

Gramercy Park Studios’ infrastructure overhaul will help to meet the demands of a thriving post-production industry that will continue to benefit from the company’s experience in creative and digital services. These specialities include editing, colour grading, motion graphics, design, finishing and sound - producing a wealth of high quality content and the ability to deliver across multiple platforms including VR and AR.

Specialising in a wide range of audio post production genres, Gramercy Park Studios’ brand new 5.1 / 7.1 mixing suite is fitted with renowned large-scale Avid audio processing solutions that will provide pristine sound for post-production. An industry leading Avid Pro Tools S6 mixing console with Pro Tools HDX and Pro Tools | HD software has been installed. The easy to use Avid interfaces of the consoles afford the operator a quick and easy solution in high pressure situations.

GPS has also expanded its rendering capabilities by adding a GPU Render Server, featuring the latest NVidia Cards. The GPU server will also accelerate the process of stitching 360 degree content for the increasing demand for virtual reality projects.

Situated in the media hotbed of Soho, London, the expansion will complement the ongoing growth at Gramercy Park Studios, which has seen Joe McNally join as the new head of editing following Vee Pinot’s move to GPS New York, bolstering their creative offering in the U.S. The reconfigured space will continue to house production teams and also utilise the original meeting rooms, breakout areas and a coffee bar on the ground floor of the London facility.

“Our infrastructure advancements will more than double our rendering capacity, allowing our artists to iterate often, present more versions and deliver more complex jobs,” said Richard Ireland, managing director at Gramercy Park Studios. “We pride ourselves on taking a collaborative approach with our clients and the new equipment throughout the redeveloped spaces will help meet our growing customer demand, benefiting in-house productivity and overall quality of delivery.”
