BBDO NY, Energy BBDO Chicago and BETC Paris are the most awarded agencies and more revealed

The Awards Season kicks into gear. The Golden Award of Montreux traditionally, since 1989, starting in spring the global season for awarding creative excellence. For the winners, points are up for grabs in national and international ranking lists. 

56 Gold Medals were given in the Categories: Media, Digital, Film, Direct, Design, Outdoor, Print, Event, Corporate Film and Talent.

The agency, of the year was, with 6 Gold Medals, BBDO New York with golden work done for GE, „Shortcuts“ and „Unseen Stars“, P&G „The Talk“,  Bacardi „Music Liberates Music“, Mars Pet „The Pedigree Adoptable Mask“ and Sandy Hook Promise. Energy BBDO with 5 Gold Medals, 2 for „Prescribed to Death“ for the NSC, and 2 for „Hero Smith“ for Aspirin, one further gold for Orbit in TV.

BETC succeeded 4 times: In TV with Lacoste „Timeless“, Manor „The Drawing“ and Bouygues „Paddle Boat“  and in Outdoor with Evian „Oversize“.

Havas Paris and Serviceplan Germany took three Gold Medals each.

 At the Golden Award there is only Gold, no Silver or Bronze.  In the 2018 Golden Award of Montreux participated more than 3400 entries from 38 countries. 

The Golden Award jury 2018 consists of 30 personalities from 16 countries among them CEOs of advertising agencies, Creative Directors, Global Marketing and Communication Managers of international clients, Media Designers.

Jury Chairs were among others Luis Silva Dias, Chief Creative officer FCB International; Markus Weinzettl, Editor in Chief, Lürzer’s Archiv; Conor Brady, Chief Creative Officer, Critical Mass; Bryan Barnes, Associate Creative Director BBDO New York; Frank Bodin, Chairman & CEO of Havas Switzerland, Chairman of the ADC Switzerland; Adam Kerj CCO of McCann Sweden & Nordics, Ludovic Tenart, Head of Digital, Havas Paris.

The Golden Award of Montreux is honouring companies and individuals responsible for the creation of excellent advertising, multimedia and events within the cultural surroundings of television and music

festivals, reflecting in this way that communication is part of the global world of creativity.

Montreux was always valued as a perfect environment for creativity. The Deep Purple Classic "Smoke on the water" was written and recorded here - the first line is "We all came out to Montreux". Many artists lived here and enjoyed the inspiration of the region.

The Golden Award is an independent Forum committed to improving the standard of creative excellence now and in future, in cooperation with the Institut for Future Science.
