Rabbit director Owen Trevor chronicles an intrepid traveller’s cross-continental adventure in the stylish new :60 “Go Further – A Brazilian In China (Director’s Cut)” for Ford out of Blue Hive, Sao Paulo, Brazil and Blue Hive, Shanghai, China. Originally intended for the Brazilian market, the spot follows one sociable man’s journey from Brazil to Asia; noodle-slurping and soul-searching ensue.
The 60 opens on our tour guide, Rafael, boarding a plane in Brazil and landing in China. His voiceover begins, “I went to the other side of the world along with the new Eco Sport.” We see Rafael navigating cityscapes in his Eco Sport, cavorting with Tai chi instructors, eating exotic cuisine and playing Ping-Pong. He concludes, “What I discovered: far away is never far enough. The all-new Eco Sport 2013. Your world just got bigger,” while driving through a road carved from a massive rock wall. The Ford logo and tag, “Go Further,” close out the spot.
