Takes on dual role of ECD and Managing Partner, Edinburgh

DigitasLBi has promoted Gav Gordon-Rogers from his current role of Executive Creative Director to the dual role of Executive Creative Director and Managing Partner, Edinburgh.

The move reflects the agency’s continued commitment to investing in the industry’s best talent, in order to help clients make their brands count.

In his new role, Gordon-Rogers will help define strategy for DigitasLBi’s Edinburgh office; with a focus on new business and talent, as well as building its reputation locally, nationally and internationally.

A key member of the Edinburgh leadership team. Gordon-Rogers has been at DigitasLBi since 2012, during which time he has helped the agency to win multiple new accounts and create award-winning work for clients like French Connection and Honda.

Over the last 20 years, Gordon-Rogers has helped three different agencies to be named Digital Agency of the Year on eight separate occasions. Alongside creative partner Gemma Butler he created two of Campaign’s Top Ten Digital Campaigns of the Decade.

Prior to joining DigitasLBi, Gordon-Rogers was Interactive Creative Director at Wieden+Kennedy and Executive Creative Director at Agency Republic.

Gordon-Rogers takes over leadership of DigitasLBi’s Edinburgh office from current Global Client Partner and Managing Director, Edinburgh, Kristin Ruby. Since taking up the position in July 2015, Ruby has helped the Edinburgh office pick up a raft of major new business wins as well as driving growth for its existing business. She will now move into an expanded role, working with DigitasLBi’s Chief Media Officer, International, Paul Dalton, to help further grow the agency’s international media offering.

Gav Gordon-Rogers, Executive Creative Director and Managing Partner, Edinburgh, DigitasLBi said: “I’m excited to continue to expand the offering of our vibrant Edinburgh office, to win some more new clients and to grow our reputation in the industry as a top flight agency that happens to be based outside of the M25. I’m confident that the team and I will forge a bright and brilliant future together."

Michael Islip, CEO UK, DigitasLBi added: “While DigitasLBi is a global agency, it’s essential that every local office has the right leader in place: someone who is capable of driving growth, attracting and retaining talent and creating work that counts for our clients. Gav has the perfect blend of skills and experience to be that leader in our Edinburgh office, and his appointment also signals our commitment to ensuring that creativity is at the heart of everything we do. I’d like to thank Kristin for the amazing work she’s done and the growth that she’s driven, and congratulate Gav as he takes on this new challenge.”
