Day 7: Vence to Cannes
Distance: 106km
Ascent: 1,850m
The final day of the Tour arrived with the FireFlies keen to reach Cannes to celebrate their incredible fundraising achievement with friends and family.
The day began high up in the hills and the final climbs were relatively gentle, the Col de Vence (963m), the Col de la Sine (1,028m) and Col de L'Ecre (964m).
They ventured through the picturesque towns of Greolieres, Gourdon (their lunch stop) and Biot towards the coast.
At 4.45pm with a police motorbike escort, they made their way into Cannes to cheers along the Croisette from their supporters and the Cannes Lions delegates.
They turned into Promenade de la Pantiero to cross La Ligne D'Arrivee under an arch of red and yellow balloons and a giant banner for @bloodwise, our charity.
Their supporters' cheers rivalled a Euro game. During the celebrations that followed, the Senior 'Flies' received their 'wings' from Charlie Crompton.
