Eve Ashwell Joins The Assembly Rooms
Award-winning offline editing company, The Assembly Rooms has announce that Eve Ashwell is joining as editor and partner.
The Assembly Rooms is based in Soho and was started in 2004, by editor/owners Nik Hindson and Sam Rice-Edwards. It has since grown into one of London's leading film editing companies.
“We are over the moon to be joining forces with Eve, it is really the perfect next step for us,” says Sam Rice-Edwards. “I have known Eve for a long time and seen her grow into one of the top editors in the country. She is extremely talented, experienced beyond her years, and also a lovely person! I've always loved her work and I'm excited about what we can achieve together."
“As soon as I met Eve I knew she would be a great person to work with,” says Nik Hindson. “Her dedication and creativity as an editor combined with her ideas and experience running a business make her the perfect partner. We've got a great team here at The Assembly Rooms and I know everyone's really looking forward to welcoming her."
Eve spent 12 years at Cut & Run as an editor and partner. Over that time she has become hugely respected in the industry. Her burgeoning awards cabinet includes British Arrows, AICE, D&AD and Creative Circle among others.
Eve has an exceptionally strong commercials reel. She cuts in both the UK & US for some of the industry’s leading directors, such as Pete Riski, Danny Kleinman, Noam Murro, Charlie Crane and Finn McGough. Recent work includes Ikea, VW, Axe, Coca-Cola and McDonald’s, as well as an emotive new spot for Wrigley’s which has received over 70 million hits online.
“I’m so excited to join Nik and Sam at The Assembly Rooms,” says Eve Ashwell. “I’ve been a huge fan of theirs for years and always followed what they’ve been up to, so when it came to moving company, there was only one place I wanted to go. They have a very similar approach to work as I do, and the directors and creatives that they’re working with are some of the most talented in our business. They always keep the focus of the company on the quality of work and let everything else follow that, which is easier said than done, but has always been my approach too. They’re fantastic editors, and they’ve built a company filled with talented and lovely people. I’m very much looking forward to everything the future’s going to bring!”
The Assembly Rooms now has 10 editors working from it’s Victorian townhouse in Soho. They cut for some of the leading agencies, directors and production companies in the business, including Academy, Rattling Stick, Rogue, Stink and Pulse.
