Riff Raff's The Sacred Egg deliver one of their biggest videos to date

Arcade Fire has launched a new music video for their track ‘Everything Now’ directed by Riff Raff's The Sacred Egg.

Shot in Death Valley and South Africa, the directing duo of Alex Mavor and Ed Kaye known as “The Sacred Egg” have delivered one of their biggest videos to date.

This dystopian video shows vignettes of life, where children play amongst crashed satellites, dance in fields of floating cacti, and watch rockets leaving earth, whilst the adults seem oblivious to what is happening around them.

Subtly told, the scenes are cleverly linked together with telephone lines and infrastructure that litters the landscape, which ties in an emotive performance from Arcade Fire in the middle of the desert.

From The Sacred Egg: "The song is both anthemic and melancholy.  The challenge for us was to create something that captured both these moods. Ultimately we wanted to create a magical world but one which had an undercurrent to it.  A parallel country that was both familiar and strange. One about corporations and infrastructure and family.  We didn’t want to pass a judgement on it though.  It’s for the viewer to make sense of any undertones.  We simply tried to capture the mood of this alternate land.
