Editor Kyle Valenta joins Work Editorial Los Angeles to be represented globally.

Previously at Cartel, Final Cut and Joint, Valenta has crafted a reel with leading agencies and production companies. Notable work includes Guinness' portrait of LA's 'Compton Cowboys' for AMVBBDO London and Henry-Alex Rubin of Smuggler, Dodge 'How To Change Cars' for Christopher Riggert at Biscuit Films and W+K Portland and Apple's 'Your Verse' for Emmanuel Lubezki and Chris Wilcha of Park Pictures.

Valenta: "I started my career at W+K/Joint in Portland.  There, I was taught that the work is priority and to fight for things you believe in. Lately its been working with Henry-Alex Rubin a lot.  He’s a very generous collaborator with a great eye for performance and strong narrative". In addition to Rubin, Valenta has also worked alongside Christoper Riggert, Johnny Green, Mark Zibert, Chris Wilcha and AG Rojas.

With early aspirations as a cinematographer, a chance job with college football cutting highlight reels led to a realisation that he loved assembling moving pictures more than lighting a scene. Valenta says: "I like the puzzle and finding all the right pieces to make it complete.  Challenges change and every job has a different solution. That constant stimulation never gets boring. I'm primarily known as a visual editor, though I would like to return to more comedy and dialogue".

Jane Dilworth, Founding Partner at Work Editorial: "Kyle's skills meant he was always on our radar with work that's highly complementary to our talent roster. It just feels like he’s always been part of the team. His arrival couldn't be more timely as we continue our expansion in both our LA and NY offices".

Valenta sums up: "Work Editorial has an unbelievable history and pedigree. They attract top-notch projects. I am looking forward to continue learning and working with some of the best editorial talent out there".
